JOINT ENROUTE CARE COURSE (6A-F12/300-F26)

Mission Statement : To provide concise, realistic, relevant and current enroute trauma transport team training to Joint and Coalition Forces Flight Medics, Registered Nurses, Physician Assistants and Physicians conducting aeromedical operations in rotary wing platforms to ensure optimal enroute patient outcomes

Our objectives are to provide:

Concise and relevant didactic content

Realistic, battle-focused lab content

Real-time lessons learned, internet-based center for feedback from students and subject matter experts

Length : 2 weeks

 

COURSE PREREQUISITE

Additional Information:

• Students will get combat relevant, lessons learned based didactic content and practical exercises in:

– Aeromedical rotary wing doctrine

– Transport equipment and packaging

– Advanced trauma and critical care management

– Combined skill aeromedical scenarios

– UH-60 and CH-47 Familiarization

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Phase I: Mandatory distance learning modules covering Aeromedical and Aviation specific content areas.
Phase II: 12 Day residence course with additional didactic content and extensive hands-on practical exercises, culminating with a comprehensive written examination and graded practical examinations on equipment and Critical Care Transport simulation.

ENROLLMENT PROCESS

Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurses who wish to attend the Joint Enroute Care Course should submit a DA Form 3838 - signed by approving authority - to their respective HRC Branch Chief or Branch Training Office for processing and ATRRS enrollment.

A mandatory distance learning module in fundamentals of rotary wing transport is required to be completed prior to attendance for all residence course students.  ENTER DISTANCE LEARNING SITE

The above link will direct the student to the AMEDD learning center login, where they will have the option of either CAC login or standard AKO username/password login. If the student has been enrolled, they should see the JECC course in the `my courses` module and also on the courses tab at the top. From there they will select `learning Modules` and complete the Medical and Aeromedical content areas.
