2025 Mission Thanksgiving!
Thank you for your interest in MEDCoE's Mission Thanksgiving!
Mission Thanksgiving at Fort Sam Houston began many years ago when local families and installation chaplains created a program allowing Soldiers to take a break from training and experience Thanksgiving in a family setting. This annual event provides the community with the chance to welcome Soldiers into their homes for Thanksgiving Day.
Please note that the safety of our Soldiers and the community is our top priority. All participants must consent to a background check. The sign-up window to host is closed. All Soldiers are required to employ the battle buddy system, meaning they will travel in pairs. They are required to remain with their battle buddy at all times.
MEDCoE employees (Military & Civilians) are not authorized to participate.
Details regarding pickup times and locations will be provided to those who pass the background check. For now, please plan for Soldiers to be picked up and dropped off at JBSA Fort Sam Houston.
